Check out Valérie Lemercier, the hostess of the French César awards this year, performing a boisterous rendition of Zouk Machine's 80's hit Maldón, and in Creole too. The Césars are the French equivalent of the Oscars. Watching Lemercier singing Maldon was a lot of fun. :)
I still have a tape of that Zouk machine song. How can anyone not "get jiggy" when they belted: "La musique dans la peau" ? :)
I have to say it's the other songs on that album that are most memorable to me. You know: "annou sove lanmou" etc. The slower ones. Memories, memories...
memories, memories ...yep! that remind me my new year eve of 1989 :D, my dad bought the Zouk machine tape the evening (NYE)and we played it all night long without getting tired :D Unforgettable. Thank you Alice :)
